I think everyone knows this, but I belong to a “unit” called “Trickstar”
We took the first step to a successful male idol career when we entered the “SS,” the largest battle at the summit of the entertainment world, as Yumenosaki’s representatives
This happened at the end of the year, so I think it’s fresh in everyone’s memories
You might think that we’re distant: an amazing group of people, idols with special talent
But, as you can see now, I’m a regular person, just like you guys
Look, I have neither horns nor fangs. I’m not a monster; I’m a human being that you can find just about anywhere
Last year, we were aspiring idols--nobodies. We could offer our dreams, passion, and energy in excess, but had nothing else
Just like you all, we were brats who spent our entire adolescence worrying about things
We wondered if we had talent; we wondered what would happen in the future. We were uneasy and terrified because we didn’t know a single thing
You guys are the same. You’ve noticed that there are fewer comrades every time a new semester begins, right?
But. You guys remained; maybe you’re here because you didn’t have the courage to run away, and got stuck, but
So long as you do not truly leave, there is hope in your future
I want you to believe in that. I believed in that. We made our dream come true by borrowing the help of several miracles, good luck, and amazing people
It was because we didn’t give up, and recklessly tried our hardest
Try your hardest, you guys. No, from here on out, as well.... Let’s all try our best, together
Next year, around this time, “you” might be the one standing here, in the same position as me, making this sort of self-important speech
Surprisingly, it actually feels pretty darn good
If you feel envious, first, try and make me your goal
Even if you have no idea what to do, so long as you have a pointer, you should be able to walk, right? I’ve got this sort of flashy hairstyle, so I’m a perfect landmark
We’re students at the same school. I’ll be walking around there, so if you’ve got a question, ask me; if you need help, rely on me
In exchange, I want every single one of you to become an admirable idol that I can proudly show off
It’s sad to see those you’ve worked hard to train disappear
You’ll be all right. You have me; you have your comrades around you that share the same dream as you
